On Saturday 16 November 2024 our Rotary co-Presidents Matt and Emma Bruce and our Area 4 Assistant District Governor J. Kevin Quackenbush visited the Robbins Museum at their annual meeting. We presented their President, Vic Mastone, & V.P. Gregory Lott with a donation check for $250.00 , which will be doubled by a Massachusetts Archaeological Society (MAS) benefactor.This donation is in thanks for the Museum visit we arranged and discussions of our ancient history with Gregory Lott last month. The Robbins museum was opened that night to our Rotarians and the community. While we expected 12-14 to attend, we were delighted that more from the community came resulting in 25 interested minds joining us!
It is also a thank you for being the repository of our history that belongs to us all extending back at least 12,000 years.
Our Middleboro Rotary is also a corporate sponsor of the Robbins / MAS, and we encourage all the businesses in our community to become a sponsor as well. It costs little enough to support such an important institution.
Visit the Robbins and take a 'Walk thru Time' and feel the energy of our past. As I have said for a very long time, "There is History Under our Feet."
