In Middleboro, service isn’t just an idea … it’s a tradition.On 17 May members of our Middleboro / Lakeville Rotary Club gathered to honor our veterans in a tangible way, helping to hang banners that serve as lasting tributes to the heroes who answered the call to defend our freedoms. For the third year we collaborated with Stephen Adelman, our town’s dedicated Veterans Officer, and chose to engage in this initiative as part of Rotary’s District-wide ‘Day of Service’, reminding us all of the sacrifices made by those who served.
These banners are more than symbols; they are stories, each representing an individual who dedicated their life to duty and country. By coming together, we reaffirm our gratitude and ensure that Middleboro stands proudly in recognition of its veterans. This collective effort reflects the spirit of our town - one built on respect, community, and unwavering support for those who have given so much. As you walk along the sidewalks of our town, take a moment to glance up and offer a silent Thank You to those men and women who served us well.
